OBITUARY: Mary Jo Mullen, 71, Former Doylestown Borough Employee

A former Doylestown Borough administrative assistant described as “the heart and soul of the Borough’s Administrative staff for many years” passed away Friday. “She will be greatly missed by her co-workers and the many Borough residents, volunteers, and officials who knew her,” Doylestown Borough officials said via Facebook.

Mary Jo Mullen (McNamee), wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, mom-mom and friend, passed away with her loving family at her side, on May 29, 2015, at the age of 71.

Mary Jo will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 48 years R. James, her two daughters Marijo Montgomery (Patrick) and Colleen Verton (Steve), son Patrick Mullen (Jacki), and sister and best friend Marge Machulski (Leon). She will also be forever remembered by her nine grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends. She joined her parents John and Catherine McNamee and bother Jack McNamee who preceded her in death.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to her visitation on Thursday, June 4th, 9 am at Adams Funeral Home 64 Broad Street, Woodstown, NJ 08098. A Mass of Christian Burial, will immediately follow at 11:30 am at St. Joseph’s Church (Woodstown) 51 Broad Street, Woodstown, NJ 08098, which is located directly across the street.
