Memorial Ceremony To Honor Doylestown Woman, Former Poet Laureate

Doylestown resident Sandra Becker, the 2014 Bucks County Poet Laureate, will be honored during a memorial service this Sunday, Jan. 27 at Bucks County Community College. Becker died suddenly on Nov. 19.

Becker had published five books of poetry, most recently What Now, What Next: Other Ways to Pray by Kelsay Books in 2018, and worked as a poetry editor. In addition, she was a caregiver devoted to mentally and physically challenged individuals.

The remembrance service for Becker will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. in room 142 of Tyler Hall at Bucks County Community College, 275 Swamp Rd., Newtown.
