CNN host and Doylestown native Michael Smerconish will deliver this year's commencement address at DelVal.

CNN host and Philadelphia Inquirer columnist Michael Smerconish has been selected to deliver this year's commencement address at Delaware Valley University. Commencement is scheduled for Saturday, May 19. Smerconish will receive an honorary degree at that time.

Smerconish, who was born in Doylestown, is currently the host of “The Michael Smerconish Program” on SiriusXM Channel 124, and CNN’s “Smerconish.” He is also the author of several books, including two New York Times bestsellers.

“We look forward to welcoming Michael Smerconish to campus,” said DelVal President Dr. Maria Gallo. “He has gained national recognition in his field, and as our graduating class prepares to leave DelVal, I hope hearing from him will inspire them to reach their career dreams.”
