DOYLESTOWN, PA - Zad-Albasha Mediterranean Grill, located next to the GAP in downtown Doylestown, will celebrate the grand opening of the first and only Middle Eastern nightclub in Bucks County on Friday, Sept. 29.

Located on the lower level of the restaurant, the brand-new nightspot will kick off its celebration at 5 p.m. with a full evening of food, music, and entertainment.

Continuing until midnight, the celebration will include a live DJ, food, a belly dancer at 8 and 9:15 p.m., and live kunafah baking. Kunafah is the ultimate Middle Eastern dessert made using shredded phyllo dough stuffed with cheese, topped with sugar syrup, and garnished with nuts.

The space also includes a main nightclub area featuring a sports club with big screen TVs, a hookah lounge, a floor seating room, and a non-alcoholic bar serving gelato ice cream, fresh juice, and a crepe station.

The walls are decorated with photographs from the Middle East and ornamental tapestries. And Middle Eastern carpets cover the floors in the hookah lounge.

“We are bringing the Middle East to Bucks County so you don’t have to travel there,” said Thoraya Altamari, who operates the restaurant and nightclub with her husband, Ahmed Shaat.

As part of the celebration, the restaurant will be releasing a brand new menu that incorporates traditional favorites along with new platters, appetizers, soups and salads, humus Zad Albasha, fatteh, manakeesh, desserts, and more.

The menu also features grilled octopus, fried cauliflower, beet salad, tabouleh, arancini, shakshoka, grilled kofta, falafel, chicken and lamb shawarma, flat breads, Arabic coffee, and more.

And you don't want to miss their desserts - baklava and kunafah - made fresh daily by Thoraya.
