Missed Bus Stop Leads To Warrant Arrest: Warrington Crime Report

Police also reported the arrest of a Feasterville woman accused of attempting to steal more than $1,000 worth of groceries.

WARRINGTON TOWNSHIP, PA — Police in Warrington Township reported two arrests on Jan 22 and 23, including an 82-year-old Philadelphia man wanted out of the city on a weapons offense and a Feasterville woman who is accused of stealing more than $1,000 from a township grocery store.

Missed Bus Stop Leads To Warrant Arrest

  • An 82-year-old Philadelphia man is in jail after Warrington Police took him into custody on a warrant out of the city. On Jan. 23, Warrington Police responded to Walmart for the report of an elderly man who appeared lost and was requesting assistance on how to get home. Officers spoke with the 82-year-old Philadelphia man, who told police he had gotten off the bus at the wrong stop. While checking Taylor’s information, officers discovered he was wanted in Philadelphia on a weapons charge. The man was placed under arrest and transported to the police station. The warrant was confirmed, and the man was subsequently transported to the Bucks County Correctional Facility to await action on the warrant.

  • A 55-year-old woman from Feasterville is facing felony theft charges after police say she attempted to steal more than $1,000 worth of merchandise from a township grocery store. On Jan. 22, police responded to Wegmans for the report of a retail theft. Upon arrival, officers were advised that loss prevention had detained 55-year-old Maryann Verzilli from Feasterville in the office. Loss prevention personnel told police that Verzilli concealed $1,202 worth of merchandise inside bags and then loaded the items onto a motorized cart. After exiting the store without paying for the merchandise, she was detained by store personnel. Verzilli was placed under arrest by Warrington Police and transported to the police station, where she was processed and later released.
