The counties immediately surrounding Philadelphia are not currently under the tornado watch but a Hazardous Weather Outlook has been issued in Bucks, Chester, and Montgomery counties due to the chance of severe storms with strong winds.

According to the NWS in State College, a tornado and ping pong ball-sized hail have already been reported in Crawford County. "Keep an eye on the sky this afternoon," forecasters advise.

According to the Hazardous Weather Outlook, some of this evening's possible thunderstorms will be severe. "The primary hazard will be damaging winds. In addition, storms will be capable of producing heavy rain leading to localized flooding, primarily in poor drainage areas," the outlook states.
