2 Dead In Multi-Vehicle Crash In Bedminster Township

Emergency crews responded to the 6600 block of Easton Road just after 11:30 a.m. for a multi-vehicle crash involving a building.

BEDMINSTER TOWNSHIP, PA — Two people were killed Friday morning in a fiery, multi-vehicle crash in the 6600 block of Easton Road in Bedminster Township.

Emergency crews responded to the scene at 11:30 a.m. for a reported traffic collision on Route 611.

According to Bedminster Township Police, a vehicle struck an unoccupied parked car and then caught fire. One vehicle then struck a building causing damage to the structure.

Firefighters used hand lines to extinguish the fire and remained on the scene for an extended period conducting clean-up operations.

The Bucks County Coroner's Office confirmed that the driver and passenger of the occupied vehicle succumbed to injuries sustained in the crash. The coroner has not released the names of the deceased pending notification of relatives.

"The Bedminster Township Police Department extends its deepest sympathies to the family and loved ones of the individuals involved in this heartbreaking incident," Bedminster Police said in a press release.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation. Anyone who may have witnessed the accident and did not speak to an officer on scene is urged to contact the Bedminster Township Police Department at 215-795-2972.

Multiple fire and EMS crews responded to the scene including Plumsteadville, Hilltown Township Volunteer Fire Company, Doylestown Fire Company No. 1, Dublin Fire Company, Sellersville Fire Company, Chalfont, the Perkasie Fire Company, and others.
