Multiple Black Bear Sightings This Weekend In Warrington

Police in Warrington received several reports of a black bear wandering around a neighborhood Saturday.

WARRINGTON, PA — Police in Warrington received several reports of a black bear wandering around neighborhoods near the Fairway Golf Course on Saturday.

Police said the bear was in the area of the Neshaminy Creek, including Garden Avenue and Street Road.

The Pennsylvaia Game Commission responded to corral the bear and take it to a more suitable habitat, police said. The results of the Game Commission's search were not immediately available.

In the meantime, police are warning residents to not approach the bear if they see it and rather call the PA Game Commission SE Region Office (610) 926-3136 or the Bucks County Radio Room (215) 343-0100. In an emergency, call 911.
