Music of Frankie Valli Featured In Doylestown Summer Arts Series

The Thompson Performing Arts Series is bringing "Lights Out" to Central Park for a makeup concert.

DOYLESTOWN TOWNSHIP, PA — The Thompson Summer Performing Arts Series continues on Wednesday, September 4 with a tribute to Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons.

The music begins at 7 p.m. when “Lights Out” takes the stage at the C&N Amphitheater at Central Park in Doylestown Township. The band had been scheduled to perform earlier in the summer, but its performance was rained out.

Called “the Nation's No. 1 Tribute to Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons,” the band will take the audience on a “Journey Through Musical Time" with a high-energy show, tight harmonies, soaring falsettos, comedy, audience participation, and engaging personality.

The four-part vocal, multi-talented group has been entertaining audiences for years by focusing on the art of harmony and the pure sound of voices. Starting out in their college dorm rooms as four friends who enjoyed singing, LIGHTS OUT now takes their shows from city to city across the nation.

Their show includes Frankie Valli’s top hits including "Sherry," "Walk Like A Man, "My Eyes Adored You," "Let's Hang On," and "December '63."

The free concert begins at 7 p.m. at the C&N Amphitheater at Doylestown Township's Central Park.

The series continues with:

  • Class Act (Dance Band) on Sept. 11 (makeup concert)
  • Bigg Romeo (Dance Band) on Sept. 18. (makeup concert)
  • Cherry Lane Band (Rock and Roll with a Blast of Soul). The band will perform a makeup concert to be held in conjunction with the township's Food Truck Festival on Sept. 22 from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m.

The free summer concert series is sponsored by The Thompson Organization which is made up of four dealerships: Thompson Toyota, Thompson BMW, Thompson Lexus Doylestown, and Thompson Lexus Willow Grove, as well as Thompson Detail Center and Thompson Collision Center.
