MyZone Technology Arrives at the Y

Members at Central Bucks Family YMCA will soon have a powerful new tool to assist them in their quest to achieve health and fitness goals.

Members at Central Bucks Family YMCA will soon have a powerful new tool to assist them in their quest to achieve health and fitness goals. MYZONE® Exercise Tracking System is available in the Y facility now. Physical Activity Belts will be offered for purchase and will use personalized readings to inform exercisers of their workouts’ intensity levels in real time. MYZONE also keeps track of that information online so that members can see precisely how much progress they’ve made over time.

To introduce the community to the MYZONE technology, the Y will host a MYZONE launch party on January 11, 2015 from 1:00pm-3:00pm in their Doylestown facility at 2500 Lower State Road.

“From the perspective of a personal trainer it’s wonderful,” said Lisa Schwartzer, Director of Healthy Living Fitness. “We can pull up the stats of our clients and find out how they’ve been doing between sessions. That can be huge when you only see a client for training once or twice a week.”

The system allows all exercisers from beginner to expert levels to enjoy tangible feedback aimed to motivate and inspire. MYZONE helps create communities of exercisers who can support and motivate each other. While exercising, user stats can be displayed on large, flat screen televisions in the Y fitness center, spin room and studio. MYZONE technology transmits heart rate, calories and effort in real time to the live display and wirelessly uploads that data to a logbook that can be accessed online or through the free MYZONE Lite App. MYZONE accessories will be available for purchase at the Y with the chest belt ($58), watch ($45) and both offered at $98.

MYZONE is the only exercise tracking system that is able to provide real-time feedback of exercise intensity as well as wirelessly upload exercise data to be stored. Central Bucks Family YMCA is proud to offer it to their members and welcomes user feedback at any time; connect with Josh Tyler, Senior Director of Membership Development with questions at 215.348.8131, x1157.
