New Britain Township Police Looking To ID Retail Theft Suspect

Police say the suspect stole $1,000 worth of activated gift cards and other merchandise.

NEW BRITAIN TOWNSHIP, PA — Police are looking to identify a woman who stole $1,000 worth of gift cards from the Giant Store on County Line Road over the weekend.

In the early evening hours of Saturday, July 20, police said the woman entered the store and selected various amounts of gift cards from the shelf and walked to the register with them.

Police said after a cashier had activated them, the woman manipulated employees and management into giving her refunds on the cards. She then walked out with approximately $1,000 worth of activated gift cards that she didn't pay for.

The unknown woman also walked out of the store with merchandise inside of her cart that had not been paid for.
