New Bucks County District Attorney Selected

Matthew Weintraub will be sworn in as the next District Attorney, according to reports.

The next Bucks County District Attorney has been selected. The Bucks County Courier Times reports Matthew Weintraub will be sworn in as the next District Attorney.

Weintraub, who has been the District Attorney's office chief of prosecution, will replace Dave Heckler, who has retired.

A oath of office and public swearing in ceremony will happen at a time to be determined, the publication says.

According to his bio on the District Attorney's website, Weintraub is a graduate of Temple Law School and first joined the office as a legal intern in 1992.

In 1993, Mr. Weintraub joined the office full-time as an Assistant District Attorney. "Weintraub is responsible for the prosecution of all manner of criminal cases, including homicides and other major crimes," his bio said.
