New Juice Bar Holding Soft Opening Saturday In Buckingham
Check out GI Juice and Java this weekend at its soft opening, Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. It's located in Buckingham Green.

BUCKINGHAM TOWNSHIP, PA — A new juice and coffee bar is opening in Buckingham Township. GI Juice and Java will have a soft opening this Saturday, Aug. 25. A full opening is expected in September.
The family-friendly juice and coffee bar will be located at Buckingham Green Shopping Center, off York Road.
It is owned and operated by mother-daughter duo Sherry Carlin and Tiffany Pedone. Carlin is a 20-plus year military veteran who served in the Navy during Vietnam, in the Pennsylvania Army National Guard during Desert Storm, and most recently in the Army Reserves during Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Her daughter moved to Bucks County last year. "We saw a real need for healthy eating in the area," Pedone said. As an avid juicer and coffee drinker, "I had few options for my family in the area, so we decided to open GI Juice & Java."
The shop's slogan is “Our Mission is Your Health.”

Customers can enjoy superfood smoothies, cold pressed juices, fresh-squeezed juice, and quality brewed coffees, including keto-friendly bulletproof coffee meal replacements, according to Pedone.
The cafe has seating for kids, as well as a juice menu for kids. There will also be healthy snacks, fresh salads with homemade dressings, raw oatmeal, avocado toast, and assorted nut butter and fresh fruit smears on locally baked breads. They will also offer baked pastries featuring some gluten free, nut free and soy free options.
GI Juice and Java will use only biodegradable and recyclable disposable products, Pedone said.
"Our goal is to be 100 percent biodegradable by the end of 2019 and have only 20 percent waste. Our fruit pulp and food waste is fed to our chickens and our neighbors pigs. We work with many local farms for our produce selection. We are serving locally made items such as nut butters from Nutty Novelties and selections from Sole Kombucha in Dublin," Pedone explained.
Local woodworker Scott Christensen has helped to outfit the store, custom making "nearly everything," she noted.
Check it out this weekend during a soft opening Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. "Every few days we will be adding a few more items to the menu with a full opening in September," she said.
Once full hours begin, the shop will be open Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
