New Police Officer Joins The Force In New Britain Township

NEW BRITAIN TOWNSHIP, PA — Bryce O’Connor was sworn in as the newest member of the New Britain Township Police Department at the May 15 meeting of the board of supervisors.

Before family and friends, Bryce was administered the oath of office by William Jones, the chairman of the board of supervisors.

Bryce, 22, of Perkasie is a 2019 graduate of Pennridge High School. From 2020 to 2022 he worked in the loss prevention department at Walmart in Levittown while attending Temple University's Police Academy. He graduated in March from the academy.

Bryce trains Brazilian Jiu Jitsu at Gracie Barra in Newtown and is a massive Philadelphia sports fan. He is the first officer hired by the department in more than 12 years without any prior police experience.
