New Wawa Approved In Doylestown

A new Wawa on South Main Street, at the site of the former TD Bank, has been approved in Doylestown Borough.

DOYLESTOWN, PA — The Doylestown Borough Council on Monday unanimously approved an application for a new Wawa on S. Main Street, at the site of the former TD Bank. The plans, which include a 4,700-square-foot store and 12 gas pumps, were approved unanimously.

As part of the approval, the applicant will make some improvements to the area, including a new gateway to Doylestown sign and a multi-use pathway. The applicant must contribute $20,000 towards the path’s construction. The borough will have the final say in the design of the new sign and pathway.

Additionally, the applicant must install pedestrian crosswalks along Main Street and at the ramps for the Rt. 202 Bypass.

The applicant will make a $10,000 donation to the borough's shade tree fund.

The borough's Planning Commission previously recommended approval of the application.
