Obituary: Michael Burkhard, 21, Central Bucks East Graduate

Michael B. Burkhard of Pineville died suddenly on Tuesday, April 19, 2016. He was 21.

Michael was the beloved son of Douglas J. and Susan A. Elwell Burkhard.

Michael was a member of the 2013 graduating classes of Central Bucks High School East and the Middle Bucks Institute of Technology. Since graduation, Michael was also enrolled and completed classes at the Culinary Institute of America in New York. Michael had a strong passion for the culinary arts and has worked for numerous restaurants in the region. He enjoyed creating dishes for family and friends at his residence even after working long days in the restaurant. His passion was so great for cooking that he never denied his sister and her friends a creative and exquisite dish.

In his leisure, he enjoyed dirt bike riding with friends and trout fishing with his father. Michael will be greatly missed by everyone who has had the pleasure to know and love him and he will always be remembered for his three favorite ingredients; hot sauce, onions, and especially garlic.

In addition to his parents, Michael is survived by his adoring sister, Katie and his loving grandmothers: Jean Burkhard and Janice Elwell. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Michael’s family will receive friends on, Tuesday, April 26, 2016 from 5:00pm until his Memorial Service at 7:00PM in the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Rd. (at Holland Rd.) Richboro, PA 18954. Interment will be private.
