OctoberFeast Bringing A Taste Of Germany To Bucks Co.

LAHASKA, PA — At Peddler’s Village, there’s a tradition for every season.

For generations, festivals and seasonal celebrations have brought visitors to the village throughout the year. This October, another of those traditions reaches a milestone as Peddler’s Village celebrates its 10th annual OctoberFeast on Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 10 and 11.

“OctoberFeast fits perfectly with fall at the village,” said Joe Albert, director of festivals and events at Peddler’s Village. “We get to celebrate German culture and Oktoberfest traditions, while creating an experience that’s welcoming for the whole family. There’s something for everyone to enjoy, and I think that has been a big part of the event’s appeal over the past 10 years.”

The two-day festival will take place from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. both days, featuring Oktoberfest-inspired food and drink, live German brass music, a beer garden, and family activities throughout the village.

Live entertainment will include the Philadelphia German Brass Band and Galena Brass Band on Saturday and Sunday, with the Give & Take Jugglers joining the festivities on Sunday.

Food and drink will be available throughout the village, including an outdoor Food & Drink Garden, local beer, wine and spirits, food trucks, and additional offerings from Peddler’s Village restaurants.

Family activities will include pumpkin and face painting, gem mining, sand art, a petting zoo, lawn games, and more. Some activities are pay-as-you-go.

OctoberFeast also takes place during the 47th annual Scarecrows in the Village, with more than 150 handmade scarecrows lining the village’s winding brick pathways through Oct. 25.

Admission and parking for OctoberFeast are free. Peddler’s Village shops will remain open until 8 p.m. on Saturday. A limited number of VIP parking spaces are available for advance purchase.
