Officer Advances To The Rank Of Corporal In Plumstead Township
Corporal Dockery was sworn in by Magisterial District Justice Gary Gambardella in front of a crowd of officers, family and friends.

PLUMSTEAD TOWNSHIP, PA — The Plumstead Township Police Department on Tuesday promoted Officer Tim Dockery to the rank of corporal during a meeting of the board of supervisors.
Corporal Dockery was sworn in by Magisterial District Justice Gary Gambardella in front of a crowd of officers, family members and friends.
Candidates for the position of corporal were required to take a competitive written examination which focuses on leadership principles, portions of the vehicle code and crimes code as well as departmental policy. Candidates also endured a lengthy oral interview in front of a panel of veteran police executives.

Corporal Dockery is a graduate of Francis Marion University in Florence, South Carolina with a major in sociology and a minor in psychology. He graduated from the Temple University Police Academy in October of 2002 before joining the Plumstead Township Police Department.
Corporal Dockery is a department use of force instructor and firearms instructor as well as a long-time tactical operator and team leader for the Central Bucks Special Response Team.
