Officers Interrupt Attempted Vehicle Theft In Plumstead

Police said the suspects fled the area in a black Chevrolet Camaro that was reported stolen out of Loudoun County, Va.

PLUMSTEAD TOWNSHIP, PA — Police officers interrupted the attempted theft of a vehicle Wednesday evening at North Easton and Silo Hill roads.

At approximately 3 a.m., on-duty officers found a gray Chevrolet Corvette backed into a parking space with the driver’s side window shattered. There was no glass on the ground, but a fair amount was inside the vehicle and the engine was warm, police said.

The suspects fled the area in a black Chevrolet Camaro that was reported stolen out of Loudoun County, Va., police said.

The Corvette was preserved for processing, towed to headquarters, and secured.

The incident remains under investigation.
