Open House To Fill Mercer's Castle With Holiday Sights And Sound
Guests will delight in the sounds, scents and scenes of the holidays inside Henry Mercer's six-story concrete castle in Doylestown.

DOYLESTOWN, PA — The Mercer Museum and the Fonthill Castle are bringing back its beloved Holiday Open House to be held on Tuesday, December 3 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Mercer Museum.
The concrete walls of the historic museum will be filled with the sounds, scents and scenes of the holidays during an evening of free musical performances, family activities, and a visit with Santa.
Santa is scheduled to arrive at 7:15 p.m. with the musical accompaniment of the Central Bucks East Brass Ensemble and will be spreading joy and taking photos in the historic Log House until 9 p.m.

Local musical performers include the Delaware Valley Saxophone Quartet, Central Bucks High School East Chamber Ensemble and Symphonic Band, Council Rock High School South Vocal Ensemble, Council Rock High School South Carolers, and the Bucks County Country Gentlemen.
Special family offerings include Hanukkah celebrations and the dreidel game presented by Temple Judea, coloring and craft activities for the kids, and rare evening access to the museum’s major exhibition, "The Doan Gang: Outlaws of the Revolution." Apple cider will be served along with sweet treats throughout the evening in the museum’s Learning Center.
The Michener Art Museum will also host a variety of performances, crafts, and activities throughout the evening.
