OwowCow's Chalfont Location Expected To Open In 2019

Before any cones can be scooped, the historic firehouse building needs to be completely renovated.

CHALFONT, PA — As Patch reported last week, the popular OwowCow creamery is opening a shop in Chalfont.

The creamery, which enjoys a cult-like following at its other area locations, has signed a lease with Chalfont Borough to open an ice cream shop in a 1,500-square-foot portion of the former fire department building on North Main Street, business representatives confirm.

But don't start dreaming of creamy cones just yet: the newest store will not open until Spring of 2019. A complete renovation to the historic firehouse is planned, Owowcow representatives tell Patch.

This will be the creamery's fourth location. OwowCow currently has locations in Wrightstown, Lambertville and Ottsville.

OwowCow serves homemade ice cream using locally-sourced ingredients, and has gained a loyal customer base. It is known for its creativity with cultivating seasonal flavors, and offers up tasty combinations such as blood orange raspberry, pumpkin caramel pecan, and strawberry basil.
