P.J. Whelihan's Opens First Location In Bucks County

PLUMSTEAD TOWNSHIP, PA — The P.J. Whelihan’s restaurant opened its doors on Monday with a ribbon cutting in the Cross Keys Plaza Shopping Center.

“We could not be more excited to be a part of the Doylestown community. We’ve got a great team in place that is eager to showcase how P.J.'s truly ‘does it better,’” said Jim Fris, CEO of the New Jersey-based PJW Restaurant Group.

The casual pub and eatery is the chain’s first in Bucks County. Based in Westmont, New Jersey, P.J.'s is part of the PJW Restaurant Group, which also operates The Pour House, Treno Pizza Bar and the ChopHouse.

With 21 locations throughout South Jersey and Pennsylvania, P.J. Whelihan’s is known for its pub fare, including its wings with more than 10 signature sauces, famous fries, burgers and handhelds, soups and chili, salads, dips and nachos and more.

Main course offerings include chicken tenders, pub steak, rack of ribs, fish and chips, crab cakes, fire-grilled salmon, keto fajita bowl and a boneless wings platter.

The restaurant also features seasonal cocktails, ciders and teas and an expansive selection of bottled and draft beers.

The main bar houses 36 taps and feature slocal beers, including the group’s signature 22 ounce PJW Copper Lager, brewed exclusively for the restaurant by Victory Brewing Company

And for a sweet ending to any meal, dessert offerings include a Cookie Crunch Brownie, a Ghirardelli Chocolate Brownie and a Salted Carmel Cookie.

The 8,000 square foot space, designed by Eimer Design,features vaulted ceilings, custom woodwork throughout and an impressive four seasons room that is perfect for private events.

A state-of-the-art entertainment package, including nearly 50 80-inch TVs, makes P.J. Whelihan’s the perfect place to catch all the upcoming March Madness action. To add to the excitement, guests can enjoy $15 Miller Lite buckets throughout the NCAA tournament (March 16 to April 3) and St. Paddy’s Day themed cocktails all weekend long March 17 to 19.

The restaurant is located at the Giant Food Store end of the 212,000 square foot shopping center, which is home to a Giant Food store, a CVS Pharmacy, Five Below, Perkins and coming soon, Marshall’s and HomeGoods.

The center is located in Plumstead Township and is bounded by the Route 611 Bypass, North Easton Road (State Road 611) and Swamp Road (State Road 313).
