A Party With A Cause: Family Gathering Supports Doylestown Hospital
Party guests made contributions in support of the VIA Maternity Center.

DOYLESTOWN, PA — A family gathering held over the holiday season is benefiting the VIA Maternity Center at Doylestown Hospital.
Rebecca and Michael Techtmann host a holiday party each year, and in lieu of hostess gifts or presents, the couple asks guests to consider donating to a community cause.
Their most recent party benefited the VIA Maternity Center at Doylestown Hospital, which delivers more than 1,400 babies into the world annually. Doylestown Health provides maternity services and parent education programs from pregnancy through birth and postpartum for mothers and newborns with a personalized, family-centered approach.

Friends and family of the Techtmann’s collectively donated $7,500 to purchase several new sleeper chairs for the NICU and post-partum rooms. These functional and comfortable sleeper chairs convert from visitor seating to a comfortable place to sleep allowing support guests to rest by the new mother's side.
“By including their friends and family in this special event, the Techtmann family and their guests are making a meaningful difference in the lives of countless new mothers,” said Jim Brexler, Doylestown Health President and CEO.
