Party Planned for Opening of New Pirate Ship at Kids Castle

A ribbon cutting ceremony and party to celebrate the new pirate ship at Kids Castle will be held Friday, Sept. 5 at 3:30 p.m. at Central Park.

The “Pirate Party” event will feature entertainment, music, face painting, prizes and more. The fun will begin a half hour before the official ribbon is cut. Once the ceremony concludes, children will be able to play on the new pirate ship.

The pirate ship is sponsored by Andrew’s Friend’s Fund, a Newtown Square organization founded in memory of Andrew Joseph Avellino, who drowned in 2009 at the age of 17 months.
