Pharmacy Now Open Inside Doylestown Hospital

The pharmacy, located off the hospital's North Lobby, is run by the Cowhey family, owners of ShopRite in Warminster.

A ShopRite pharmacy is now open in Doylestown Hospital. Officials cut the ribbon during a ceremony Friday morning.

The pharmacy, located off the hospital’s North Lobby, is run by the Cowhey family, owners of ShopRite in Warminster. It is the first of its kind in a Pennsylvania hospital.

The ShopRite pharmacy at Doylestown Hospital is open seven days a week and carries prescription and over-the-counter medications. Patients treated by physicians in the medical office building connected to the hospital can have prescriptions filled before leaving the hospital campus.

Scott S. Levy, vice president and chief medical officer of Doylestown Hospital said the in-hospital pharmacy will help patients. “The addition of the retail pharmacy on the hospital campus builds on a partnership that is founded on excellence in service,” he said in April when the announcement was made.

Store hours are every day from 10 am to 8 pm.
