WARRINGTON, Pa. — The Pine2Pink Foundation, an organization dedicated to raising breast cancer awareness and funds through experiential, community-based events, is expanding to its seventh location in 2022 - The Shops at Valley Square in Warrington.

“I am thrilled to expand to Warrington and have Pine2Pink takeover the Shops at Valley Square," said Pine2Pink founder Keith Fenimore. “The center is like a little village and attracts an amazing amount of foot traffic. Part of Pine2Pink’s appeal that we work hard to cultivate is producing an engaging and unique experience. This partnership is poised to create amazing results. We are excited to see the transformation this October and happy to add all the amazing shops and restaurants at The Shops at Valley Square to thePine2Pink movement!”

The Shops at Valley Square will join Pine2Pink’s ever-growing footprint, which already includes New Hope, Newtown Borough, Doylestown, Perkasie, Peddler’s Village and Carversville. The expansion to Warrington, said Fenimore, is designed to help drive fundraising efforts and awareness throughout the entire month of October.

“We are excited to be part of Pine2Pink this year," said Ashley Pompei, the property manager at the Shops at Valley Square. Pine2Pink’s immersive fundraising experience will be integrated at the Shops at Valley Square in a multitude of ways, according to Fenimore.

More than 150 exterior lights at the center will be changed to pink throughout the complex; stores will dedicate either a special Pine2Pink section or select featured items with proceeds going directly to the non-profit; North Main Street, the main thoroughfare through the complex, will be renamed Pink Street for the month; and the Pine2Pink virtual scavenger hunt will be active throughout the complex.

The scavenger hunt is an augmented reality game powered by a free phone app. The entire family can seek, find and capture virtual pink wings hidden throughout the shops and claim them for prizes. The hunt will span across Bucks County to every city and location that supports Pine2Pink.

An ever-growing facet of Pine2Pink’s popularity is its "Eat, Drink and Shop" program, where people are encouraged to#ShopLocal with a portion of their spending directly supporting local breast cancer patients.

Ardana Food & Drink, a premiere restaurant within Valley Square, is partnering with Pine2Pink as official sponsors. The owners will be hosting an exclusive wine and food pairing event with all proceeds going toPine2Pink. Slated for this October, the evening will honor local breast cancer survivors and thrivers.

“I had heard about Pine2Pink and was aware of how instrumental this non-profit and its offerings are to our local cancer community," said Mike Christou, owner of Ardana Food & Drink. "As a family-run restaurateur who services this community, I wanted to do my part to help raise funds and awareness forPine2Pink so my customers who are battling breast cancer and those in the community can benefit.”

Pine2Pink launched in 2018 and has raised more than $250,000 helping more than 1,000 local breast cancer patients. The month-long program is designed to raise money that stays local and helps locals in treatment and recovery across Bucks County.

Pine2Pink beneficiaries include the Fox Chase Cancer Center of Buckingham, Grand View Hospital, Doylestown Hospital and Kin Wellness and Support Center.
