Pink Gives CB Guidance Counselor Shout Out During Friday Concert
Pink, a Doylestown native, put the spotlight on Ann Kuntzmann and thanked her for being there "at a time when it felt like nobody else was."

Pink performed at the Wells Fargo Center on Friday, and gave a Lenape Middle School guidance counselor a special shout out in front of the entire audience.
That's right, the pop star and Doylestown native stopped in the middle of the concert, put the spotlight on Lenape's beloved Ann Kuntzmann and thanked her for being there for her "at a time when it felt like nobody else was."
"Thousands of people collectively applauded to celebrate Mrs. Kuntzmann’s unwavering dedication to our students," Central Bucks Education Association said in a viral Facebook post about the event.

Kuntzmann, in an email to Patch said, the whole thing was "totally unexpected." She said she was in so much shock, "I am not sure I really took it all in."
She said it was "incredibly emotional" to be recognized. "I think the most important outcome of the experience was that it served as a reminder that we, as educators, have the power to impact the lives of our students every day, and the responsibility to do so in a way that shows them how much we care."

Suzanne Dailey, a Central Bucks educator who works in elementary staff development, was there and wrote a blog post about the incident.
"About 90 minutes into the show, Pink paused to acknowledge how her Philadelphia concert feels like coming home. After all, she was a student in our district and reigns as one of the most famous people from Doylestown, PA. If you are a Pink fan, you already know she wasn’t a model student. School was hard for her. She felt like she never fit in. She often had a hard time finding herself – finding her voice," the blog reads.
Dailey then explains the scene at the concert, describing the thunderous applause from the crowd during the shout out from Pink.
"Pink eventually found her voice. And Ann helped her do that," Dailey writes. Read the full blog post here.
