Plumstead Police Investigate Blood Splatter, Fraudulent Activity
Plumstead Police also handle harassment complaint, suicidal teen, and a domestic dispute.
PLUMSTEAD TOWNSHIP, PA — The Plumstead Township Police Department investigated the following incidents between Jan. 1 and 6, including the source of blood splatter, fraudulent activity and a harassment complaint.
Monday, Jan. 1
At 12:32 p.m., officers responded to the area of Township Line Road for shots being heard. A man told police that he talked to a hunter about shooting close to the road and that the hunter walked further into the woods. Officers informed the man that the hunter was following proper protocols and had the permission of the homeowner to hunt on the property. The complainant was satisfied with the explanation.

Tuesday, Jan. 2
On Jan. 2, Officer Thomas Rutecki was called to assist in looking for a suicidal female. He spotted the distraught teen on an overpass threatening to jump. Backup arrived discreetly and provided additional support. Officer Rutecki grabbed the female and brought her to ground.

Wednesday, Jan. 3
At 3:48 p.m., officers responded to the area of Ferry Road for suspicious activity. When officers arrived, they met with the complainant who said that they found blood splatter inside the laundry
room and thought someone tried to gain access to the residence and that their dog had bit them. Officers observed the blood drips and concluded that the dog’s mouth was bleeding and when the dog shook his head it splattered the blood. The homeowners were satisfied with the findings.
At 4:55 p.m., a Plumstead resident came into the station to file a fraud report. The woman said she had received a message from a friend on Facebook requesting her to send money. The woman complied and sent $1,000. The woman did not realize it was a case of fraud until the individual asked her for her Facebook information. The case remains open.
Friday, Jan. 5
At 10:30 a.m., a Plumstead woman stopped at the station to file a harassment complaint. The woman told police that her ex-boyfriend was texting her and threatening to send photos of her if she did not reply. The complaint stated that she wanted him to stop texting her. Officers contacted the ex-boyfriend and informed him to cease all communication. The complainant was satisfied with the outcome.
Saturday, Jan. 6
At 1:01 a.m., officers responded to Nancy Ward Circle for a domestic in progress. When officers arrived, they met with a woman who said that her ex-boyfriend showed up intoxicated and was refusing to leave. After talking to both parties police learned that the ex-boyfriend lives there and both were informed to stay away from each other for the night.
