Plumstead Police Make DUI Arrest, Investigate Harassment Complaint
Fraudulent check drawn on business account, resident reports incident of credit card fraud.
PLUMSTEAD TOWNSHIP, PA — The Plumstead Township Police Department reported the following incidents between Oct. 12 and Oct. 19:
October 12
- At 11:22 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a black sedan on Point Pleasant Pike. Upon speaking with the operator, the officer detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage. Earle Myers, 56, of Lumberville, N.J., was unable to satisfactorily perform a field sobriety test and was placed under arrest for driving under the influence. Charges have been filed and are pending blood evidence results.

- At 4 p.m., officers received a call for a fraud complaint. Officers spoke to the complainant who said he had received a call from his bank informing him an unknown individual made a check out for $1,600 from his business account. The case is under investigation.
October 18
- At 1:58 p.m., officers received a phone call for a fraud complaint. When the officers spoke to the complainant, she said that someone used her credit card at Kohls in the amount of $443, then attempted a second transaction which was declined in the amount of $614. Video surveillance was obtained from Kohl’s security. The complainant received a victim’s right packet. The case is still under investigation.

- At 9:49 a.m., a Plumstead Township detective responded to a call on Easton Road for a harassment complaint. The suspect was issued a non-traffic citation for disorderly conduct.
