Plumstead Police Make DUI Arrests, File Retail Theft Charges

Police also investigated criminal mischief complaints; arrest driver on multiple warrants.

PLUMSTEAD TOWNSHIP, PA — The Plumstead Township Police Department reported the following incidents and arrests between April 25 and April 30.

April 25

  • At 6:02 p.m. officers responded to Point Pleasant Pike for a criminal mischief complaint. The complainant showed police damage done to a string of lights. The complainant also reported a missing extension ladder. Estimated value of damage and missing property is approximately $340. This case remains under investigation pending the review of surveillance cameras.

  • At 4:55 p.m., officers responded to Sawmill Road for a white Hyundai Sonata blocking the turn lane. Upon speaking with the driver, the officer detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage. The operator was unable to perform a field sobriety test due to be unbalanced when exiting the vehicle. Morgan Johnson, 31, of Phillipsburg, N.J., was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence. The charges are pending blood evidence results.
  • At 11:53 p.m., officers responded to a call on Louise Saint Clair Drive for criminal mischief. Upon entrance into the home officers observed the floor was covered in broken glass and broken household items. An adult female told police that her adult son caused the damage and continued to cause damage in the home as the night went on. The incident is under investigation.

April 27

  • At 9:16 a.m., officers responded to the area of Schlentz Hill Road for an aggressive driver complaint. A PECO worker told police that a man driving a white F150 hit her with his truck and became verbally aggressive while she was trying to move road closure signs. Officers were able to identify the actor and charges have been filed.

April 29

  • At 10:16 p.m., officers responded to the Giant Food Store on Swamp Road for a retail theft. When officers arrived, they met with the complainant who stated that a man exited the store without purchasing items in his cart totaling $187.76. After viewing surveillance footage, they were able to identify the man and file charges.
  • At 10:16 p.m. officers responded to the Giant Food Store on Swamp Road for a retail theft. When officers arrived, they met with the complainant who said a woman exited the store without purchasing items in his cart totaling $211.78. After viewing surveillance footage, they were able to identify the man and file charges.

April 30

  • At 7:35 p.m., officers observed a vehicle pull into Bergey’s Auto on Easton Road and remained parked in the rear lot for an extended period of time. Upon speaking with the operator a false ID was provided. Further investigation verified the driver had multiple outstanding warrants and was placed under arrest. The 32 year old Warminster woman was was taken into custody, processed, and transported to the Bucks County Correction Facility.
