Plumsteadville Village Business Scarecrow Contest kicks off Sept. 29

It's back again for 2017! The Plumsteadville Village Business Scarecrow Contest kicks off Sept. 29! YOUR votes count for the best scarecrow, and YOU get the prizes!

In 2016, 26 Plumsteadville Village businesses assembled scarecrows that represented their business, with their store uniform or logo, or holding a great product, or even themes like movies, books, music, and trends.

The winner of 2nd Annual Plumsteadville Village Golden Pumpkin Award for the Best Business Pumpkin will be announced at Plumsteadville Fire Prevention Fall Festival, Sat. October 21, 2017, at the Plumsteadville Volunteer Fire Company, 5064 Stump Road, Pipersville, PA. Cut to Perfection Hair Salon won the award in 2016.

Plumsteadville Volunteer Fire Company volunteers will be observing National Fire Prevention Month with educational sessions and displays to help families understand the dangers of fire and prepare their homes to be safe this holiday season.

Around the fire prevention activities, businesses from the Plumsteadville Village will also have displays, samples, and giveaways to welcome families and friends. There will also be costume contests for adults, kids, and pets!
