Police Sergeant Retiring After 25 Years With Warrington Township

Sergeant DeBrigida started his police career in 1997 as a part time officer with Warrington Township before being hired full time in 1998.

WARRINGTON TOWNSHIP, PA — Warrington Township Police Sgt. Daniel S. DeBrigida is retiring from the force after 25 years of service.

Sergeant DeBrigida started his police career in 1997 as a part time officer with Warrington Township before being hired full time in 1998.

After a few short years on the job, he became an Officer in Charge (OIC) and a Field Training Officer (FTO). He served as a long-time original member of the Bucks County South Central Emergency Response Team as a tactical operator and transitioned to become a sniper.

Sergeant DeBrigida was a long time firearms/use of force instructor and OC (pepper spray)
Instructor. Before being promoted to Sergeant in 2018, he was the longest tenured officer in charge in the department.

He spent the vast majority of his career in the patrol division, although he served as a detective on a six-month special assignment. Sergeant DeBrigida received several commendatory and recognition letters throughout his career.
