Polish Festival Continues This Weekend In New Britain Township

The festival returns to the grounds of Our Lady of Czestochowa on Saturday and Sunday with ethnic food and entertainment.

NEW BRITAIN TOWNSHIP, PA —After a big weekend at Our Lady of Czestochowa in Doylestown over the long Labor Day weekend, the Polish American Festival & Country Fair returns to the grounds of the national shrine this Saturday and Sunday with two more days of old world fun.

On both days, visitors can enjoy pierogies, golabki, Polish beer, kielbasa, live performances, a living history camp, a Little Circus, a craft and vendor market and rides.

The festival is taking place on the grounds of the 170-acre shrine on Ferry Road in New Britain Township. Hours are 12 to 8 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 7 and 8. Admission is $15 per person with proceeds used to defray the cost of the festival and for the maintenance and operation of the shrine. For more information about the festival, click here.

  • Sunday, September 8 - Pavilion Stage: 12:45 to 2:30 pm, Polish American String Band, and 4 to 8 pm, Lenny Gomulka & Chicago Push. Village Stage: 12 to 4 pm, John Góra & Górale, and 4 to 8 pm, Sova.
