Pothole Repairs, Pipeline Work Scheduled This Week In Central Bucks

Motorists in Central and Upper Bucks may encounter delays on local roads this week due to a pipe replacement project and pothole repairs.

DOYLESTOWN, PA — Motorists driving in Central and Upper Bucks County this week may encounter delays with a pipe replacement project slated along Route 152 and pothole maintenance scheduled for several other local roads.

Work crews will be patching potholes and conducting maintenance repairs this week on the following roadways in Central and Upper Bucks County:

  • County Line Road in West Rockhill Township
  • Mechanicsville Road in Buckingham and Solebury townships
  • Stump Road in Plumstead Township
  • Route 232 (Second Street Pike and Windy Bush Road) in Northampton, Wrightstown, Upper Makefield and Solebury townships).

Motorists may encounter periodic road closures and delays. Since January 1, PennDOT District 6 has received more than 7,514 customer concerns regarding potholes and has used more than 1,954 tons of asphalt across the five-county Philadelphia region.

Pipe Replacement Project

A pipe replacement project is scheduled this week on Route 152 (Limekiln Pike/Main Street) in Chalfont Borough and New Britain and Hilltown townships. Drivers are advised of the following travel restrictions:

  • From Monday, April 13, to Wednesday, April 15, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Route 152 (Limekiln Pike/Main Street) will be closed and detoured between Business U.S. 202 (Butler Avenue) in Chalfont Borough and Hilltown Pike in Hilltown Township. During the closure, motorists will be directed to use Business U.S. 202, County Line Road, Route 309 (Bethlehem Pike), and Hilltown Pike.

Local access will be maintained at all times. Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work areas because backups and delays may occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
