Pride Flag Stolen From Civil War Memorial In Doylestown: Police

Police said someone removed the Pride flag from the clips and absconded with it, leaving the U.S. flag lying on the ground.

DOYLESTOWN BOROUGH, PA — A Pride flag was reported stolen early Thursday morning from the Civil War Memorial flag pole located at the intersection of North Main and East Court streets.

The Central Bucks Regional Police Department reports that at approximately 1:50 a.m. unknown actor(s) were observed cutting the rope on the pole causing the United States flag and Pride flag to drop to the ground.

Police said the actor(s) then removed the Pride flag from the clips and absconded with it, leaving the United States flag lying on the ground.

Surveillance video captured a motorcycle and actor(s) with flashlights around the monument
at the time of the theft, police said.
