Public Invited To Celebrate First Night Of Hanukkah In Doylestown
In lieu of a traditional menorah lighting with candles or lights, children will be decorating flame hats and will line up to form a menorah.

DOYLESTOWN, PA — The public is invited to celebrate the first night of Chanukah with a ceremonial menorah lighting in downtown Doylestown.
Presented by Temple Judea Reform Synagogue of Doylestown and jkidphilly, the event takes place on Sunday, Dec. 19 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the corner of State and Hamilton streets. The event is open to all ages and will feature singing and dancing with Rabbi Sigal Brier and Dan Khan, cookie decorating, goodie bags, a raffle basket and refreshments.
In lieu of a traditional menorah lighting with candles or lights, children will be decorating flame hats and will line up to form a menorah for the celebration. There will also be a large dreidel placed at the corner of State and Hamilton streets to commemorate Hanukkah.

“We love gathering around the giant sevivon (dreidel) to sing, dance and have doughnuts," said Rabbi Sigal Brier. "It is always great fun for people of all ages."
