Purse Stolen From Unlocked, Running Vehicle In Warrington

The incident happened in the parking lot of a daycare center. A child in the running car ran out to alert his parent to the theft.

WARRINGTON TOWNSHIP, PA — A thief stole a purse on Tuesday from an unlocked, running vehicle with a child seated inside, Warrington Township Police said.

The incident happened in the parking lot of a daycare center.

Police said the suspects pulled up in a black mini-van. One of the occupants then opened the unlocked car and took the purse, said police.

The child in the running car then ran out to alert his parent as to what just happened, said police.

“Please keep aware of your surroundings, keep your doors locked and valuables out of plain site,” police said. “Other townships experienced the same type of incidents today. Suspects are being developed as the cases are being investigated.”
