Record Warmth Expected This Week Across Pennsylvania

We may be in store for record warmth this week across Pennsylvania. High temperatures in the mid 80s are expected, with the warmest days likely in the middle of the week.

"We could see near or record highs Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday," according to information from the National Weather Service.

The warmest day will likely be Wednesday, when the high temperature is predicted to be 85. If the forecast materializes, it would be a record-breaking high temperature for Oct. 19. The current high for Oct. 19 is 80 degrees, which was set in 1947.

"In addition to daytime temperatures being well above average, overnight lows each night through the middle of the week will be exceptionally mild as well, dropping into only the 50s and 60s across the Northeast," according to AccWeather.

Cooler daytime temperatures will return Friday and into the weekend, when it should be in the 60s.

Tonight: Partly cloudy, with a low around 62. Light southwest wind.

Tuesday: Patchy fog before 8am. Otherwise, sunny, with a high near 84. Light southwest wind increasing to 5 to 10 mph in the afternoon.

Tuesday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 64. South wind around 6 mph becoming calm in the evening.

Wednesday: Patchy fog between 8am and 9am. Otherwise, mostly sunny, with a high near 85. Calm wind becoming west 5 to 8 mph in the afternoon.

Wednesday Night: A chance of showers after 9pm. Partly cloudy, with a low around 62. Chance of precipitation is 50%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.

Thursday: A chance of showers before 1pm. Partly sunny, with a high near 76. Chance of precipitation is 50%.

Thursday Night: A chance of showers after 9pm. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 59. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

Friday: A chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 68. Chance of precipitation is 40%.

Saturday: Partly sunny, with a high near 63.
