Rehabilitation Project To Close Perkasie Bridge For Six Months

The scheduled work includes rehabilitation of the three-span reinforced concrete T-beam structure, with environmental protections.

PERKASIE, PA — Bucks County Bridge 237, along Callowhill Street over the East Branch of the Perkiomen Creek, will be closed starting May 8 with construction anticipated to be completed within 180 days.

Signs should be going up soon, if they’re not up already, indicating the bridge will be closed and that a detour will be in effect.

The bridge is located in East Rockhill Township on the east side of the creek, and in Perkasie Borough on the west side.

The scheduled work includes rehabilitation of the three-span reinforced concrete T-beam structure, with environmental protections to be installed as well, including sediment and pollution controls.

The contractor on the project is Eastern Highway Specialists, with engineering by Carrol Engineering Corporation. The cost of the project is $642,527.20.
