Residents Invited To Help Shape The Future Of Doylestown Borough
Comprehensive plan workshop to focus on sustainability and conservation, parks and recreation, and housing and development.

DOYLESTOWN BOROUGH, PA — Here’s your chance to help shape the future of Doylestown Borough.
For the first time since 1997 the borough is updating its comprehensive plan and it’s looking for input from borough residents.
Residents are invited to attend the borough's next Comphrensive Plan workshop meeting on Tuesday, April 11 beginning at 7:30 p.m. at Doylestown Borough Hall. The three main topics up for discussion at the workshop will be sustainability and conservation, parks and recreation, and housing and development.

During the first workshop on March 14, the discussion centered around economic vitality, arts and culture, historic preservation, and parking.
A comprehensive plan is a document that serves as a guide to land use decision making. It is a statement of the community’s vision, which will be used by residents, the planning commission, borough council, private and public stakeholders, and governmental agencies over the next quarter of a century to help shape the borough's future..

The plan focuses on the quality-of-life issues that are most important to borough residents, including parks and recreation, housing and development, economic vitality, historic preservation, parking and arts and culture, reaching consensus on a direction forward, and building local capacity to effect real change.
Residents are encouraged to bring their ideas for the borough's future to the workshop. They can be focused on the topics scheduled for discussion or on any other topic pertaining to the borough's future.
