Warrington Crash Update: 2 Injured, Road Reopens

Two cars were involved in the crash. One person had to be extricated, two people transported to the hospital on a trauma alert.

WARRINGTON, PA —Pickertown Road in Warrington has reopened following a "major" head-on accident that injured two.

According to police, a Chevy Trailblazer operated by Gabrielle Houtras 31, of Warrington was traveling west on Pickertown Road. A Toyota Prius operated by David Case, 57 of Lansdale was traveling east.

The investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing.

Houtras is being treated for a head injury and Case is being treating for several broken bones in his lower extremities.

Police said it happened just after 8 a.m. between Argyle and Blue Bell Lane.

One of the drivers had to be extricated from their vehicle. In addition to emergency responders, PECO responded to the scene because there were live electrical wires on the ground as a result of the collision.

Both vehicles ended up on the front lawn of a nearby residential property, police said.

Warrington Fire Company and Warrington Ambulance responded along with Warrington Police.
