CHALFONT, PA — Pop Inn, a retro bar and restaurant at 4 North Main Street in Chalfont, will close its doors at the end of the year, the victim of the pandemic.

The owners announced the news over the weekend in a social media post on its Facebook page.

“We are sorry to say, that after four years, Pop Inn will be closing at the end of the year,” the owners wrote. “We were not able to recover from the pandemic, simple as that.

“We are proud of what we created and accomplished and we hope that you remember the good times we’ve had. Events like trivia night will go on and the kitchen will be open until it’s not. We will try to be as normal as we can.

“To our regulars, we’re very sorry,” the owners wrote. “We would like to hang out with you and see your kids grow up even more, but rest assured that you will all hold a special place in our hearts forever. Please stop in a bunch before the end of the year to say bye to our awesome staff that have enjoyed serving you for four years. We appreciate you. Winter is coming.”

The announcement drew 139 comments on it Facebook page.
