Ribbon Cutting Welcomes Jewish Deli And Restaurant To Doylestown
Matzah Balls is offering a full service breakfast, lunch and dinner menu and features an authentic Jewish deli.
DOYLESTOWN, Pa. — Matzah Balls, Doylestown’s new authentic Jewish deli, opened its
doors on Friday at 24 North Main Street to a crowd of hungry people.
Joined by State Senator Steve Santarsiero, Bucks County Commissioner Bob Harvie and Doylestown Borough Mayor Noni West, Master Chef Franco Federico and his wife officially cut the ribbon on Friday afternoon on their new establishment located within steps of the Bucks County
Administration building.
The new eating place is offering a full service breakfast, lunch and dinner menu along with an authentic Jewish deli where customers can order freshly cut meats and cheeses, bagels and assorted breads, salads, lox, chopped liver with onions and much more.

Senator Santarsiero picked up a fresh loaf of challah bread after helping to cut the ribbon.
“It’s a great addition to Doylestown. Doylestown has so many great food options already. This is going to be a complement to what’s already here,” he said.

“We’re excited,” added Mayor West. “And we wish Federico the very best. The entire town is excited to have a Jewish deli in town and it looks fabulous. It’s a good addition to Doylestown.”
Added Councilwoman Wendy Margolis, “We’re excited to have more ethnic options in Doylestown. It’s fabulous. And being Jewish myself, I’m very excited to have a deli in town. Everyone’s really excited and the food looks incredible. We don’t have a deli in Doylestown so this is perfect.”
At Matzah Balls, patrons will find all of their favorite Jewish comfort foods such as corned beef and pastrami sandwiches, beef brisket, kasha and bow ties, Reuben and Rachel sandwiches, and of course its namesake, Matzah Ball Soup, served in a Souper Bowl-sized tureen.
And the food is going to be spectacular, promises owner and Master Chef Federico, who has lived in Doylestown since coming to America in 1979. "I have to be honest with you, I've been eating the pastrami like there's no tomorrow."
Breakfast will be served all day and will feature farm fresh eggs and fluffy omelettes, Belgian Waffles, Challah French Toast, fried matzah, pancakes and bagels.
Lunch will feature soups, salads, hot diggity dogs, Reubens, salad sandwiches, Italian specialties, burgers, and deli sandwiches.
And dinner selections include beef brisket, roasted turkey with challah stuffing, croquettes, broiled chopped sirloin, jumbo potato latke and more.
Diners are also encouraged to save room for a slice of authentic Jewish Apple Cake, an old-fashioned egg cream soda, a slice of New York cheesecake or Babka cake, ice cream sundaes and milk shakes.
Federico is a well known restaurateur in Bucks-Mont who has opened 17 other popular fine dining restaurants over the past 40 years including Fountainside Seafood & Grille, Ariana’s Ristorante Italiano, and most recently La Dolce Vita Da Franco where he had built a faithful following.
"Everything I have ever done is through my heart and with passion," said Federico.
Matzah
Balls, said Federico, is his way of honoring his Italian-Jewish heritage by combining his love of cooking and being the ultimate host. That is why every adult who orders a complete dinner will be offered a free glass of Kosher Asti wine from Italy.
"I hope that Doylestown will enjoy this. It's going to be something new and I will do my best to satisfy their palates," said Federico.
