Road Rage, Cemetery Vandalism Top New Britain Township Police Report

Police also arrested two in stolen vehicle, charged a driver with having counterfeit tags, and took a suspected drunken driver off the road.

NEW BRITAIN TOWNSHIP, PA — The New Britain Township Police Department reported the following incidents during the month of October:

During this tour the patrol unit also handled 29 traffic accidents; 33 alarm calls; 69 medical
emergencies; 16 abandoned 911 calls; and 390 crime and traffic accident prevention directed patrols. In total there were 892 calls for service.

October 12

  • Patrol responded to Suzy’s Lounge on County Line Road for a fight in progress. Upon arrival, an offender was identified and taken into custody without issue. They were charged with related offenses.

October 16

  • Officers investigated a protective order violation in which the actor had contact with a protected person in violation of a court order. The actor turned themselves in on the outstanding warrant two days after it was issued.

  • Officers responded to a road rage incident at the intersection of County Line Road and Manor Drive. An offender and a victim were located on the scene with the victim suffering from wounds from a machete, which was used during a road rage incident. The offender was taken into custody without incident and the victim has since been released from the hospital.

October 20

  • In the early morning hours police were dispatched to Holly Drive for a motor vehicle theft. An officer located the stolen vehicle, which was occupied, in the Giant parking lot and initiated a short pursuit, after which two individuals were arrested inside the vehicle. The two actors were also involved in a multitude of other thefts from motor vehicles throughout the township and once connected, they were charged with all related offenses. Both actors were booked into Bucks County Prison.

October 26

  • Members of the patrol division conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle at County Line Road and Manor Drive for a counterfeit registration plate. The driver was charged and released.
  • The staff at the Shrine of Czestochowa on Ferry Road called 911 to report a man inside the cemetery grounds destroying property. The man was located by officers and taken into custody. Citations were issued for the damage and the man was transported to the hospital for evaluation.

October 29

  • The detective division investigated a person passing bad checks at the Giant Food Store on County Line Road. After the issuance of multiple search warrants, the person was identified and a warrant for their arrest was obtained. The investigation is ongoing.

October 30

  • A concerned citizen called 911 to report a suspicious vehicle on Palace Court in the Highlands section of the township. Officers responded and located the vehicle and the driver. The driver was taken into custody for DUI.
