Robert Ercolino, 73, Lifelong Doylestown Resident

Robert Bruce Ercolino died January 1.

Robert Bruce Ercolino died January 1 in Abington Memorial Hospital. He was 73. He is the beloved husband of Rosemarie (Nee Barone) Ercolino. Bruce was a lifelong resident of Doylestown.
He had owned and operated the Veterans Lane Shoe Service in Doylestown. Bruce was a well know cobbler having operated many shoe stores in the Doylestown area. Bruce had served as a medic in the Air Force during the Vietnam War.
He was an active communicate of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church were he served as an usher. Bruce was an avid tennis player at the Doylestown Racquet Club. He was an avid reader. Bruce enjoyed cooking, photography, traveling, and golf. He was a certified scuba diver and was knowledgeable in baseball and an avid Phillies fan. 
In addition to his wife he is survived by his daughters Karen (Kamil Nemec) Ercolino, and Stephanie (Alister) Jones. He is the brother of Betty Foster, Margaret Ellis, Ann, Matthew, and Perry Ercolino. Bruce is also survived by his grandchildren Olivia and Sofie Ercolino, and Campbell and Fulton Jones, and many nieces and nephews. 
Bruce was well loved and will be missed by many. Relatives and friends are invited to Bruce’s Funeral Mass, 10:30am Wednesday, Jan. 8 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 235 E. State St. Doylestown, where the family will receive friends after 9:00 am until the time of mass.
Interment will be private
