Fitzpatrick is the Vice Chairman of the House's Bipartisan Heroin Task Force which has passed measures that authorized federal funding to assist state and local governments with law enforcement, prevention, recovery, research and treatment of opioid addiction. “From the toll it takes on our communities and families,” said Fitzpatrick. “To the strain on local leaders and law enforcement, this crisis is too important to let partisan politics get in the way of solutions.” At the end of his talk, he took questions from Rotary members.
