DOYLESTOWN, PA — On Thanksgiving Eve, police in Bucks County will be conducting roving DUI patrols along Street Road from Bensalem to Warrington Township.

The DUI patrol will cover a 16-mile stretch and is scheduled from 10 p.m. to 3 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 22. Officers from eight departments throughout Bucks County trained in standard field-sobriety testing and checkpoints will be working the patrols.

"As we approach the Thanksgiving holiday, officers will be out in force to protect motorists on the roadways. Beginning Wednesday, eight officers from 15 different jurisdictions will be doing an enhanced DUI patrol," said Jen Schorn, first assistant district attorney of Bucks County.

"We want everyone to get home safe to their family and friends to celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday," she said. "So please, if you plan on drinking or doing drugs, do not drive. Get home safe and be well."
