Since 2008, at its inaugural 9/11 Heroes Run event in Doylestown, runners, walkers, and ruckers have come together to honor the nation’s first responders who selflessly sacrificed on September 11th and service members who have served in the wars since. Since its first race, the Heroes Run has expanded to races in more than 90 communities worldwide, uniting 60,000 people each year.
The Heroes Run is presented by the Travis Manion Foundation, founded in memory of 1LT Travis Manion, USMC, of Doylestown, who made the ultimate sacrifice for the safety of his patrol in 2007.

The foundation carries on the legacy of selfless service and leadership embodied by Travis and all those who have served, or continue to serve, the nation.
Before his final deployment to Iraq, Travis left the world with a simple, but powerful ethos. “If Not Me, Then Who...” describes the sense of duty felt by service members and their families. Today it is a constant reminder for all to live with character and to put the interests of others before their own.
