VIA Searching For The Next Bucks County Designer House
"Being chosen as the Bucks County Designer House & Gardens truly sets a property apart from others in the area," said Pat Urban of the VIA.

DOYLESTOWN, PA —The search for a property to host the 49th Bucks County Designer House & Gardens is underway.
The annual event, sponsored by the Village Improvement Association of Doylestown (VIA), supports Doylestown Health and enables the VIA to fulfill its mission of enhancing the health and welfare of Central Bucks County and surrounding communities.
Since 1971, Designer House visitors have enjoyed a quintessential Bucks County experience, highlighting the area’s rich history, unique architecture, and bucolic landscape. To continue this long tradition, the VIA is seeking a property within a 20-minute drive of Doylestown Hospital featuring a large older home, outbuildings such as barns, sheds or cottages and an abundance of flat, open grounds for parking and event tents.

Beginning in early February, the VIA will team with top area designers and landscapers to “refresh” the home’s interior and gardens.

In late April, the property will open for a month-long series of tours. Visitors will enjoy stunning interior designs, beautiful gardens, as well as the opportunity to purchase design and decor elements and shop in an array of boutiques. If space permits, there will be an on-site cafe serving snacks and light fare.
The VIA will work closely with the homeowner, respecting any wishes for items that should remain as is, e.g., original wood floors. Homeowner approval is secured for any permanent improvements.
Though not all of the previous designer houses have been for sale, the event is a great opportunity to showcase a home that is currently listed. The home will be beautifully displayed and thousands of visitors will offer wonderful advertising as well.
"Being chosen as the Bucks County Designer House & Gardens truly sets a property apart from others in the area," said Pat Urban of the VIA. "Properties that have recently sold where a new owner would benefit from assistance getting the house ready for occupancy are also good candidates. Homeowners will be the guests of the VIA for all events and tours."
