Bill is extremely patient and kind. He consistently finds ways to help his students be part of the larger school community. For example, he encourages his students to be part of the sports teams either by playing or being a manager. Many of his students struggle with making and maintaining positive peer relationships. Bill's students really view him as a mentor and a go-to teacher. In fact many of his students keep in touch with him after they leave middle school and even when they graduate high school.
